Onthatile Children’s Ministries is a non-profit organization (NPO/NGO/B-BBEE) that rescues abandoned babies located in Johannesburg, South Africa.  We provide a safe haven for these children until they can be placed in forever families, sometimes through adoption and other times through long term foster care.

Onthatile was founded in 2012 by Joel and Rachel Kirby and we took our first baby the end of that year.  It is our goal to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the babies placed in our care.  Ultimately we pray each of these little lives here the gospel and believe in Christ for their salvation. Since beginning, we have had 25+ children in our home and have assisted with 30+ adoptions/foster care placements.

Directors: Joel and Rachel Kirby

Joel and Rachel, along with their 4 children, moved from New Hampshire to Johannesburg in 2012 after God made them aware of the orphan crisis in South Africa and called them to be part of the solution. They are the directors and founders of Onthatile and currently live on the property and run the baby home.  They are actively involved in ministry with their local church and lead a weekly small group.
